"Thats why if you walk into a major league clubhouse youre going to see a lot of guys with that lower right shoulder, so pitchers tend to lose their upward rotation in their shoulder blade over the course of a season. Their lats get really gritty and theres a lot of things that keep pulling that shoulder girdle down. So we need to work hard on maintaining [scapular] upward rotation. The lack of a routine is why relievers need to be as proactive as possible about training. The irregular schedule isn't conducive to a regimented plan of exhausting workouts, especially in-season. A reliever can't tell his manager he's unavailable because his legs are sore from a debilitating squat session, while a starter can afford to be more aggressive with workouts on days he doesn't throw. Frequency is incredibly important, even if the workouts are just 20-30 minutes to stay fresh for a possible relief appearance later that night. Fresh, of course, being a relative term given the grueling demands of a 162-game MLB schedule. The guys that are a little bit trickier are closers, setup guys, guys who could conceivably throw three days in a row ...

At no time during the hearing of that bill was yoga pants brought up," David Moore, a Republican from Missoula, told the Guardian . It was an "off-the-cuff remark in the hallway, and the whole thing just exploded. Last week during its story on the proposed legislation, the Associated Press quoted Moore as saying, " Yoga pants should be illegal in public anyway ." The AP, however, said Moore's comment wasn't "off the cuff" at all. Our reporter spoke to him at length, AP spokesman Paul Colford said. She asked him about that statement twice. After the story appeared, Mr. Moore told associates he was making Max Workouts review a joke.

Even if the Player's association is satisfied with the arrangement and are convinced it's all voluntary, it's still not a great look for the Mets to have their own players, especially their own minor leaguers, paying so much out of their own pockets to workout at the team's facility.

What else could you think after watching me do subtle variations of essentially the same workout 60 minutes of nearly nonstop lifting, moving from a quadriceps exercise, to a hamstrings exercise, to a calves exercise, to a stretch, stopping only to jot down the weight used and reps performed and then doing it again and again without using much weight and always doing between 15 and 50 reps? What else could you think after seeing the other guys working at a slower pace, using heavier weights, doing fewer reps, and getting far more muscular as a result? In fact, you'd be absolutely right to say what I do is absolutely wrong until you know my purpose.
